The choreography doesn't stop at the dancers: circus artists, singer, backing vocalists and musicians are all directed with the same rigour, as one company, on the main stage of the Palais des Festivals in Cannes.

Social inequality: something we now take for granted, yet it shapes how we live and how we relate to one another. A piece built on the way we look at each other, on the performers' acting, on gesture rooted in raw emotion, moving between the delicacy of classical music and the weight of a hip-hop beat.

A choreographer with a dancer's background, Gladia builds her work on one conviction: movement is created with the performers, not on paper. She starts from the project's theme and intentions, and composes with the bodies in front of her.
Dancers or not, she starts with the person: their background, what their body already knows. From there she takes them further. The work takes a different shape on every project: workshops and specific tasks to generate material, situations built around them, or an existing piece to be set on a new cast. Lifts, contact work, gesture: a vocabulary built to fit, changing with the story, the space, the floor, the objects on stage.
Her place is between the idea and the stage: she listens, then translates that into movement on the performers' bodies, and delivers it on the production's schedule. On stage, it isn't just about the dancers. In Éteignons les écrans, the circus artists, singer, backing vocalists and musicians are all part of the choreography, each bringing what they already know.
That is where she wants to keep building: on the common ground between her choreography and each performer's world.
Background
Trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz and hip-hop, in Italy at Officina delle Arti (Royal Academy of Dance syllabus) and then in Los Angeles and Paris, Gladia has performed with several companies, danced at the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games and worked on fashion shows and events for Hermès, Valentino and Victoria's Secret. An actor trained at the Actors Factory in Paris, she also directs movement for screen and coaches non-dancers.
In 2019, Brice Kapel brought her to Boston as assistant choreographer on Coloricolex, the American version of his show Coloricocolà. She founded Compagnie Wected and created INequality, seen in Paris in 2021 and chosen to open the Amman Contemporary Dance Festival in 2023. In 2022 she choreographed Éteignons les écrans at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes; in 2025, Lucien Lumière's music video Comme Si.
